CHANGE

FOR

SUSTAINABLE

DEVELOPMENT TOGETHER

PRE-STUDY SUSTAINABLE CULTURE

How can small and medium-sized cultural companies on Gotland lead the way in the transition to a society that respects the planet's boundaries? What is already being done today among Gotland's cultural companies? Is there a need for a unifying platform and can an artistic process contribute to a sustainable world?

All research shows that we are not doing enough to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions, protect biodiversity or achieve the goals of Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement. We do not act to the extent necessary to avoid a climate collapse. Great courage is needed from those who lead and powerful sources of inspiration. Sustainable work is an engine to make the change a reality.

In the study, we want to gain knowledge about Gotland's small business active in culture. What are they and what are their needs for support to be able to make the necessary adjustment required for them to emerge stronger from times of change?

During the study we will:

  • * Map which small and medium-sized cultural companies are located on Gotland.

  • * Conduct about twenty interviews with cultural companies in the autumn of 2020.

  •

  • * Arrange talks, workshops and lectures about sustainable work, the situation for the environment and climate and the creative process during the autumn of 2020.

  •

  • * Gather knowledge about what is being done nationally for sustainable culture.

  •

  • * Arrange a closing seminar in January 2021 together with cultural entrepreneurs on Gotland.

  •

  • * Report the feasibility study.
